Long Wave, Inc.   Oklahoma City, OKNovember 2013 – January 2014

Construction Manager / Project Manager

·               Temporary assignment, I was brought in to guide and help develop a commercial telecommunications division of Long Wave.

·               Develop safety guidelines and a QA/QC manual for private sector commercial business

·               Develop a standard scope of work for site decommissioning, site audits as well as overlays and new builds.

·               Provide assistance in writing job descriptions, while identifying the skill sets and talent needed to perform various services.

·               Provide top notch guidance and leadership to help the existing team understand how the private sector telecommunications industry functioned.

·               Develop a project time-lines and “SOW” execution plan. The plan I presented resulted in our first award to perform a tower decommissioning and installation of a new tower and shelter within the original compound.  Estimated value in excess of $380K.

·               Create a second project time-line and execution plan for another project with the same customer.

·               Open the door for future business with a leading telecommunications service provider.

Lead Project Manager (Remote) 

·               Assist in the development and execution of a project plan for deployment of the first LTE network for a small rural carrier in Northern Michigan.

·               Provide scheduling, evaluating and tracking of the activities required to build out a switch for an LTE network.

·               Work closely with NSN RF team applying logarithmic RF math concepts to perform power link budget calculations and determine the appropriate model and manufacture of products needed to design and upgrade a rural Michigan network.

·               Serve as a lead contact in the installation, commissioning and integration of Nokia MME/SAE hardware.

·               Work with third party vendors to coordinate installation and commissioning of HP OSS hardware in switch.

·               Provide Project Management on Alcatel Lucent’s AT&T GSM Zodiac project.

·               Oversee the integration of 100 (+) sites from their original carriers system to AT&T’s GSM network.

·               Manage up to 7 BTS Integrators in 4 different markets simultaneously.

Lead Network Deployment and Integration Project Manager (2006 to 2008) 

·               Manage a group of 7 PM’s with up to 15 in field CM’s for deployment of cellular and microwave systems as required to meet and/or exceed customer expectations.

·               Share P/L responsibility for an estimated $40 million in project build out activity in multiple markets throughout the United States and Canada.

·               Participate in the review and analysis of a major RFI/RFP from the New York City Transit Authority to provide and install a Small Cell / DAS system within subway stations and tunnels.

·               Monitor day to day activities of 10 to 15 market level Construction and Project Managers.

·               Provide leadership in overall project evaluation, pricing, cost and budget analysis.

·               Develop Task Orders/SOW’s for a major portion of Ericsson’s site development work on projects for AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and various smaller rural carriers.

·               Play a vital role in the inspection and auditing activities of various Microwave projects for Sprint as well as a smaller rural carrier in the Northeast.

·               Participate in the initial site walks, construction plan and installation of the DAS system that was being used in San Francisco’s Giants stadium.

·               Apply the physics behind RF wave propagation theory to determine best candidate for network expansions.

·               Coordinate the deployment of our path profile teams in Arizona.
